Hey Prince Rupert! As Christmas rolls around again, we are working on getting Christmas stockings for everyone that lives with us – 163 women, men and children between the Transition House, the homeless shelter, two supportive housing buildings and our senior’s residence! We know the need is great everywhere so any donation is greatly appreciated.
If you are interested in contributing, here are some stocking ideas:
Socks
Underwear
Hats / mitts
Toothbrushes
Toothpaste
Deodorant
Hair brushes/combs/accessories
Journals / diaries / activity books (word games) / pens / markers
Chocolates / treats / non-perishable snacks
Gift cards
Pool tickets
Toys
Gift bags (medium to large) used in lieu of stockings
Money for us to purchase items for the stockings (EMT can be sent to ed@ncts.ca. Please note Christmas Stockings)
If you are interested in providing a package for a specific individual, we can provide details to personalize it. The majority of people who live with us are over the ages of 55. This year, there are quite a few young women between the ages of 15 and 25.
If you have any questions or want to discuss, please call Kayla at 250 627 8959 ext. 30 or email sarp@ncts.ca
Drop-offs can be made Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the program offices at 1402 Park Avenue (middle archway in the driveway BLUE door).
Thank you for any consideration.
